What we all want...
β Reader, What have you been craving? In life, or business? Brene Brown's Atlas of the Heart recently shifted my perspective about what I truly want from my business and what kind of life I want to create. In this book, Brene Brown defines tranquility as the absence of demand. That's exactly what I've been craving. Tranquility. According to the research Brene quoted, so is everybody else. We are inundated with bad news, endless information, and the next big shiny thing that will "help our business take off." It gets extremely overwhelming, fast. I don't know about you, Reader, but everything has felt heavy the past few years, making tranquility seem unreachable. But in my quest to attain it, there are some things I'm no longer willing to carry, like the burden of other people's opinions... ...or the endless issues going on in the world ...the polarization election cycles bring ...the online version of "Keeping up with the Joneses," and the assumption that everyone's goal is to have a 6+ figure online business with a sports car and a mansion. (What is this, the 80s??) It's all getting in the way of achieving tranquility in my life and business, ultimately impacting how I can contribute to my client's tranquility. Instead, I want laughter and wine π· a full heart and close friends π§πΌβπ€βπ©π½ a business that bursts with meaningful work and genuine connections, not just a high payout. β€οΈ Would you agree?
