I laughed and took a sip of my margarita.
Sitting with old friends in a new restaurant in Miami, ignoring the flood watch alerts from Hurricane Milton, I forgot the mess and invested in the connection. The warmth from my dear friends I hadn't seen in a long time (and the 85-degree weather) felt like a "welcome home" hug as we laughed over margs and tacos.
Life is good, I thought.
We all crave these moments - connections - that make us feel like we have everything we need. We want friendships that feel like home and moments we wish would last forever. We want the head nods and laughs and clanking of our glasses.
Those life is good moments.
What if I told you that you have the power to create those moments in your email marketing? 🪄
When people opt into your email list, they are inviting you into the conversation. They are giving you a special place in their digital world. When they open your emails, they want you to invite them into a life is good moment. How?
✨ Tell a story ✨
Before we dive into storytelling, let's review. In my last email, I challenged you to think about:
How can you contribute to your ideal audience's tranquility? What demands can you alleviate for them? How can your goods or services help them achieve tranquility?
Keep your answers to those questions in your brain, in a Doc, or a notebook (we'll come back to those). Now, I want you to think about a scenario when you had a similar desire as your audience. Write that scenario in a blank Google Doc, then add a call-to-action (*ahem* link your services).
Let's break it down like this:
↪ Define 1 way your services can bring your audience peace.
↪ Tell a relevant story that connects to their life is good moment.
↪ Call-to-Action: Your offer!
By identifying a way to bring peace into their life, telling a story that offers genuine connection, and providing them with a solution, you've painted a picture they value from someone they trust. Even if they aren't ready to partner with you, they've still opened their invitation.
Your new challenge: Put these 3 steps into action in your next email. Send me screenshots of any responses you get!
